Others Present: Ross Rieke, Council liason; Judy Weyrens, Asst. Cit.y Clerk; Fred Sandal. The meeting opened at 7: 30. She feels that the council was misinformed. Fred Sandal from the APO spoke about future zoning in the st. Joseph area. He presented maps depicting projected land use plans. Sandal encouraged zoning areas north and sout.h of the city as PURD, as that would allow for more flexibility in zoning. The commission agreed. He then distributed copies of selected items from the 1979 comprehensive plan and discussed what the city had done so far in these areas and what it could consider in the future. Sandal mentioned that rental housing was not discussed in the 1979 plan. The next time Sandal appears before the commission, he and Bill Hansen will discuss t.ransportat.ion issues. I Following up on that, Art Budde stated that development will follow the roadways. Ross Rieke stated the need for a way to get to Co. Rd. 75 from the southeast side of town. He said it would be easier to put the road in first and watch the development as opposed to the other way around. Bob Loso stated the need to find out st. Ben's plans for the college's area west of town. Art Budde made a motion to accept the Oct. 1 and 29, 1990 minutes. Sr. Kathleen seconded.
