HomeMy WebLinkAbout09-08-98 September 8, 1998 The Fire Advisory Board of the City and Township of St. Joseph met in special session on Tuesday, September 8,1998 at 8:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph Fire Hall. MEMBERS PRESENT: St. Joseph Township Representative Joe Bechtold, City Representative Bob Loso, City Clerk/Administrator Rachel Stapleton.. OTHERS PRESENT: Randy Torberg, Keith Gruber, Mike Lyon, Mark Winter. Chief Dave Theisen called the meeting to order and stated the purpose of the meeting was to consider bids for a rescue van as opened earlier in the day. He presented the following bids: Bids received from Lifeline Emergency Vehicles: 1998.Ford E-450, "Life Line" Superliner Type III $89,661 1999 Ford E-450 "Life Line"Superliner Type III $84,525 Bids received from Ninety-Four Services, Inc.: 1999 Ford E-450 "McCoy Miller" Medic 163 Type III $77,664 1998 Ford E-450 "McCoy Miller" Medic 158XL Type 111 $77,439 1998 Ford E-450 "McCoy Miller" Medic 163 Type 111 $74,254 --- - 1998 Ford E-450 "McCoy Miller" Medic 158XL Type III $72,503 Bids received from Road Rescue, Inc.: 1999 Road Rescue Ultramedic on a Ford E-450 Chassis $89,941 1997 Road Rescue Ultramedic on a Ford E-450 Chassis $79,124 The Rescue Van Committee recommended accepting the 1997 Road Rescue Ultramedic on a Ford E-450 Chassis, with graphics and letttering to be completed by an outside vendor, to make the net bid $76,870, and allow for paint and graphics and radio. Loso made a motion to accept the bid of Road Rescue, Inc. for a 1997 Road Rescue Ultramedic on a Ford E-450 Chassis of $76,870 and allow $2,500 for graphics and lettering, and $2,600 for a radio; seconded by Bechtold. Ayes: Bechtold, Loso, Theisen. Nays: None. Motion carried. Bechtold made a motion to call for bids for the old van; seconded by Loso. Ayes: Bechtold, Loso, Theisen. Nays: None. Motion carried.
