Minutes of First Meeting
Fire Advisory Board
September 1, 1976
Meeting held at Fire Hall September 1, 1976.
Members present: Del Terwey, Herman Schneider, Mike Loso.
Discussion held on the share basis - problems of how the balance of payment
from st. Ben's would be distributed. It was recommended that balance, was
to be deposited into operating fund. It would be used for operating expenses
for current year and pro-rated on a sixty-forty basis.
Board to set up budget at November meeting, and to establish a factor, gov-
erning as to when the change in valuation takes effect.
Fire rating discussed. Chief to contact the insurance division for a new
rating.
- Radios discussed. Immediate need to equip new trucks with mobile units.
- City and township, together with fire board to establish a basis for setting
up a base station.
Discussion held on tanker. Recommended by Board to pursue the possibility of
trading the Ford, or trading both the Ford and old tanker towards a new tanker.
Discussion held on clerk's responsibility to get together with each governing
body to check on funding.
It was recommended by the Board, that a salary of $80.00 per year to be paid
out of operating expenses to Board members.
Board to meet with Bel Clare Acres on the 15th of September to try and pacify
the cries of people asking for a unit to be placed at the trail~r park.
