QUARTERLY MEETING
FIRE ADVISORY BOARD
Wednesday, May 3, 1978
The st. Joseph Fire Advisory Board met in City Hall on Wednesday, May 3, 1978
at 8 p.m. for a regular quarterly meeting pursuant to due call and notice thereof.
Members Present: Herman Schneider; Del Terwey - Mike Loso, Chairman; Bob Johnson,
City Clerk.
Minutes Presented: Chairman Loso read minutes of February 1, 1978 meeting.
Minutes were approved as read on motion by Schneider seconded by
Terwey.
Ayes: Schneider, Terwey, Loso.
Nayes: None
Pager Purchase: Chief Loso requested status report on request for purchase of
13 additional pagers. Terwey indicated Town Board expected to approve
. purchase of 13 additional pagers at next meeting on May 22, 1978.
Estimated cost placed at $4000.00. City Council has taken no action to
date on request.
Fire Conference: Request for 2-man attendance at the Annual State Fire Conference
in Moorhead, MN. on 21-22-23-24 of June presented by Chief Loso.
A motion was made by Terwey seconded by Schneider to approve conference
attendance request as presented. (estimated cost - $400.00 - $425.00)
Ayes: Schneider, Terwey, Loso.
Nayes: None
Granite Electronics statement: Granite Electronics statement of 1/6/78, in
amount of $272.50 for service examined. Chief Loso to review matter
with Granite Electronics. Loso indicated the cost should have been includ-
ed in original installation charge.
Financial Report: A motion was made by Terwey seconded by Schneider to accept
quarterly financial report as presented.
Ayes: Schneider, Terwey, Loso
Nayes: None
Tanker Report: Chief Loso reported fire dept tank truck nearing completion.
Training Session: State Training session (6 ) reported completed. First Aid
equipment to be replaced. New resusitator in use - Legion and Lions Club
to contribute to purchase of proper ~~ aid & rescue equipment.
. Fire Service Rating: City to call Insurance Services offices to obtain results
of survey made in August 1977.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Terwey to adjourn at 9 pm.
