QUARTERLY MEETING
FIRE ADVISORY BOARD
WEDNESDAY, MAY 2, 1979
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the st. Joseph Fire Advisory Board met
in regular session on Wednesday, May 2, 1979 at 8:00 p.m. in City Hall.
Members Fresent: Joe Bechtold, Township member; Herman Schneider, City Council;
Fire Chief Mike Loso. City Clerk Bob Johnson.
Minutes Approved: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to approve
minutes of February 14, 1979 meeting as presented.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Quarterly Report: The Joint Fire Operating Quarterly report for January 1 to
April 1, 1979 was presented and approved on a motion by Schneider
seconded by Bechtold.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
~ Tanker Truck Report: Chief Loso reported 1700 gallon tank scheduled to arrive
today - May 2, 1979 for installation by Bill Wasner.
Fire Hall Expansion: Fire Hall expansion needs expressed by Chief Loso.
Jeep Grass Fighter: Chief Loso to investigate Jeep for sale equipped for grass
fire fighting - price $2400.00.
Equipment Purchase for New Members: Chief Loso requested expenditure of $550.00
for protective clothing to equip two new fire department members.
A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to approve cloth-
ing purchase.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Conference: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to approve
two fire members attendance at Grand Rapids, Minnesota fire conference
on June 27-28-29, 1979.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Water Gauge: Bean truck water guage not operating reported by Loso. Estimated
cost per truck for improved system - $160.00.
Adjournment: Motion to adjourn made by Schnieder seconded by Bechtold at 8:45 p.m.
