MEMBER LEAGUE OF MUNICIPALITIES
Tuesday, November 25, 1980
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Fire Advisory Board of the City
and Township of st. Joseph met in regular session on Tuesday, November 25, 1980
in the City Clerk's office at 8:00 p.m.
Members Present: st. Joseph Town representative, Joe Bechtold; City Council
representative, Herman Schneider; Fire Chief, Mike Loso; City Clerk,
Bob Johnson.
Minutes Presented: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by schneider to
approve minutes of the August meeting as presented,
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Quarterly Report: City Clerk Bob Johnson presented copies of the 3rd quarter
financial report to members. (3 additional copies to Township.)
A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to approve the
quarterly report as presented.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
.; 1980 Resume and 1981 Budget Proposal: Fire Fund 1980 resume and 1981 budget
estimate and proposal copies presented to members.
Grass Fire Rig: Fire Chief Loso presented the following preliminary specs
on a proposed grass fire fighting unit: vehicle to be a 4-wheel,
one ton chassis at an estimated $3,000 with equipment costs placed
at $3,000. Some miscellaneous equipment has already been acquired
by the department. The 1951 Chevrolet fire truck to be sold for
$1000-2000 (estimated) .
A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to approve
construction of a grass fire fighting rig to be financed by $4000 ."
from the fire reserve fund and the appropriation of $2000 scheduled
for investment in March, 1981. The reserve fund to be re-imbursed
from the sale of the 1951 Chevrolet fire truck.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
