JOSEPH, MINNESOTA INCORPORATED IN 1890 56374 MEMBER LEAGUE OF MUNICIPALITIES FIRE BOARD MEETING February 4, 1981 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Fire Advisory Board of the city and Township of st. Joseph met in regular session on Wednesday, February 4, 1981 in the City Clerk's office at 8:00 p.m. Members Present: st. Joseph Town representative, Joe Bechtold; City Council representative, Herman Schneider; Fire Chief, Mike Loso; City Clerk, Bob Johnson. Minutes Presented: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to approve minutes of the November 25, 1980 meeting as presented. Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso. Nayes: None Motion carried. Quarterly Report: City Clerk Bob Johnson presented copies of the 4th quarter financial report to members. (3 additional copies to Township. ) . A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to approve quarterly report as presented. Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso. Nayes: None Motion carried. Grass Fire Rig Report: Fire Chief Loso presented the following report on construction of a grass fire fighting rig: Cost to Joint Fire Operation - $6,000.00. Balance of rig cost to be raised by fire department through various benefits. Cost of chassis, a 1976 Ford 3/4 ton - 4-wheel drive unit was $3,300.00. The slip-in unit cost - $3,000.00. The radio, siren and spotlights were reported mounted. The rig will be ready for a paint job in two weeks. Other features: a 200 gallon tank - 500 lbs of pressure capability at 10 GPM - 200' of hose and an electric start. The grass fire rig is sDheduled for completion and in fire station status by March 17, 1981. State Fire School: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to approve attendance of 2 men at the State Fire School to be held in May. Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Loso. Nayes: None Motion carried. Pension Matters: A discussion relating to 2% state Aid was held reviewing a number of proposals and other data. Adjournment: Adjournment at 9:35 p.m. . ~~ Robert G.
