FIRE BOARD MEETING
February 3, 1982
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Fire Advisory Board of the City
and Township of st. Joseph met in regular session on Wednesday, February 3,
1982 in the City Clerk's office at 8:00 p.m.
Members Present: Town representative, Joe Bechtold; City representative,
Herman Schneider; Fire Chief, Bill Wasner; Former Chief, Mike Loso.
City Clerk, Bob Johnson.
Minutes Presented: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by schneider to
approve the minutes of the November 5, 1981 meeting as presented.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Wasner.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Quarterly Report: The quarterly financial report of the Joint Operating Fire
Fund was presented by the City Clerk. A motion was made by Bechtold
seconded by schneider to approve the quarterly report as presented.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Wasner.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
. Physical Examinations: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to
recommend City Council and Town Board adopt a policy establishing
options or the place of physical examinations for new fire department
personnel assigned to roster after 9/15/80, as recommended by OSHA
regulations. New personnel having had a physical in the last two
years must provide a physicians report of physical examination.
Ayes: Bechtold, schneider, Wasner.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Capital Outlay Approval: A motion was made by schneider seconded by Beohtold
to approve the following capital outlay requests: 1) Conversion of
air pacs (6) - $1,200.00; 2) Face masks (30) - $177.00; 3) Wetwater
additive - $140.00.
The following items are approved for purchase after July 1, 1982 :
1) 18 pair gloves - ·$450.00; 2) Scats (2) - $140.00; 3) Coats (2) -
$320.00.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Wasner.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Inspector: A motion wsa made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to appoint
Mike Loso as City Fire Inspector.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Wasner.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Adjournment: Motion to adjourn at 9:10 p.m.
