FIRE BOARD MEETING
May 2, 1984
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Fire Advisory Board of the
City and Township of st. Joseph met in session on Wednesday, May 2, 1984
at 8:00 p.m. in the City Clerk's office.
Members Present: Town representative, Joe Bechtold; City representative,
Herman Schneider; Fire Chief, Dick Taufen; City Clerk, Bob Johnson.
Minutes Fresented: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to
approve board minutes of the February 1, 1984 meeting as presented.
Ayes: Bechtold, schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Quarterly Financial Report: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Bechtold
to approve the quarterly financial report for the period January 1 to
April 1, 1984.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.

- Suspension of August Meeting: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by
Bechtold to suspend the regular August meeting for 1984.
Ayes: Bechtold, schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Contract - st. Wendel: Motion by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to instruct
City Attorney to prepare fire contract for designated section of st. Wendel
Township.
Ayes: Bechtold, schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire station Door Replacement: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Schneider
to approve purchase of two new fire station overhead doors from st. Cloud
Overhead Door as per quote submitted.
Ayes: Bechtold, schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Convention: Motioned by schneider seconded by Bechtold to send two
firemen to convention on June 7-8-9-10 at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Ayes: Bechtold, schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
OSHA Workshop: June 5, 1984 - Willmar, Minnesota. Attendance of two persons to
attend OSHA workshop approved on motion by Bechtold seconded by Schneider.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.

Generator Purchase: Chief Taufen to obtain cost estimates - receive Council
and Town Board approval.
Weather Spotters: Motion by Bechtold seconded by Schneider to compensate
weather spotting by firemen (5 maximum) at the rate of $5.00 per hour.
Ayes: Bechtold, Schneider, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Adjournment: Motion by Schneider seconded by Bechtold to adjourn at 9:00 p.m.
