FIRE BOARD MEETING
February 6, 1985
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Fire Advisory Board of the
City and Township of st. Joseph met in session on Wednesday, February 6,
1985 at 8:00 p.m. in City Hall Annex.
Members Present: Town representative, Joe Bechtold; City representative, Leo
Sadlo; Fire Chief, Dick Taufen; City Clerk, Bob Johnson.
A 'lwelcome to the board I was extended to Leo Sadlo.
Minutes: The minutes of the November 14, 1984 meeting were approved as presented
on motion by Bechtold seconded by Sadlo.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Quarterly Financial Report: The October 1 to January 1, 1985 quarterly financial
report of the Joint Fire operation was approved as presented on motion by
Bechtold seconded by Sadlo.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Contract (st. Wendel): st. Wendel reportedly ready to sign the proposed fire
contract. Chief Taufen to contact Mayor Loso and Town Supervisor Norman Scherer.
Emergency Power: Chief Taufen reported the two generators are in place for emergency
power use. One located in fire station and a second in Fire Rescue unit #5.
Capital Outlay Budget: Previously approved by City Council and Town Board.
A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Sadlo to approve the Capital Outlay
Budget for 1985 in the amount of $12,844.00.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Truck Maintenance Contract: Fire Safety Co. - Duluth, MN - apparatus service contract.
Chief Taufen indicated the contract price was increased $25.00 for 1985 to
$175.00 total. Approved on motion by Bechtold seconded by Sadlo.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Convention Attendance: 1985 fire convention is scheduled on June 19-20-21-22
at Sauk Rapids. A motion was made by Sadlo seconded by Bechtold to approve
the attendance of 3 firemen, and permit one truck to be entered in the June 22
parade.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.

Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made by Sadlo seconded by Bechtold at 9:15 p.m.
