FIRE BOARD MEETING
May 1, 1985
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the Fire Advisory Board of the
City and Township of st. Joseph met in session on Wednesday, May 1, 1985,
at 8:00 p.m. in City Hall Annex.
Members Present: Town Representative, Joe Bechtold; City Representative, Leo
Sadlo; Fire Chief, Dick Taufen; City Clerk, Bob Johnson.
Minutes: Minutes of the February 6, 1985 meeting were approved as presented
on motion by Bechtold seconded by Sadlo.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Quarterly Financial Report: The January 1 to April 1, 1985 quarterly financial
report of the Joint Fire Operation was approved as presented on motion
by Sadlo seconded by Bechtold.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
service Contract: Chief Taufen reported all trucks under service contract have
been found in good condition.
911 System: No new information available at this time.
Department Retiree: Gerald Johnson, 409 Ash Street west, officially retired
from the Fire Department on March 1, 1985.
Motion to Approve Membership Increase: A motion was made by Sadlo seconded by
Bechtold to accept two additional persons into the Fire Department to
bring total active membership to 30.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Suspension of August Meeting: A motion was made by Bechtold seconded by Sadlo
to suspend the August 7, 1985 board meeting. A meeting may be called at
that time should a special need arise.
Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
