Joseph met on Wednesday, November 27, 1991 at 8:00 p.m. in City Hall Annex. MEMBERS PRESENT: Town Representative Joe Bechtold, City Representative Leo Sadlo, Fire Chief Richard Taufen, City Clerk/Administrator Rachel Stapleton. MINUTES: Sadlo made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 7, 1991 meeting; seconded by Bechtold. Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen. Nayes: None. Motion carried. QUARTERLY FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board discussed the cost spread between the townships and city, and recommended to look at cost to each entity versus percentage of emergency calls. Sadlo made a motion to approve the third quarter financial report as presented; seconded by Bechtold. Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen. Nayes: None. Motion carried. FIRE CHIEF REPORTS: 1) Chief reported that at the Chief's Conference in October, there was discussion on methods of funding, the possibility of consolidation in the future, fire - fighting and water contamination, and that water will become a - more valuable resource in the future. 2) The Emergency siren will be installed soon. 3) Most of the previous capital outlay items have been received. Chief requested to make the following change to the capital outlay allowances; substitute no-max pants for the coats. The Chief requested to purchase ten pair no-max pants for $1580; the balance of the team building budget ($220) for a Christmas event; and an oxygen carrying case for about $140. Sadlo made a motion to approve the capital outlay requests as proposed; seconded by Bechtold. Ayes: Bechtold, Sadlo, Taufen. Nayes: None. Motion carried. 4) Chief reported quotes he received to paint the Fire Hall, as follows: Charlie Buermann $ 3 , 8 17 Ray Vogel 3,370 Bob Heurung 3,302 The Fire Board was in general agreement to have the Chief check on their insurance and qualifications, and have the ha 11 painted in the spring.
