Treasurer · s~ Re,ºo_£t: The audit :for 1993 has been completed, and a date
needs to be selected :for the presentation by the auditors. The Council
established April 26 or April 27 as a special meeting to discuss the
audi t.
KAYOH HEPURTS
APO Executive Meeting: Mayor Reber reported that he recently attended a
meeting of the APO Executive committee, at which they discussed the
naming of the Highway 15 bridge. Jerry Bauerly and Jo Ann Benson
requested the bridge be named "Missing Children o:f Hope Bridge" . The
APO has requested further discussion of the bridge name before
officially adopting a name.
ß~~~ Çlean~~~ As requested at the joint meeting with the Police
Department on I'larch 14, 1994, the garage behind the City Annex is being
cleaned out, to allow ample space :for the squad car.
Sherburne County MST: Sherburne County has recently been placed in the
Metropolitan Statistical Area.

liability Loso felt it was impot~tant to determine costs fOt~ 'r~epait~.
One suggestion has been to ~"eplace the bleachers with alumj.num,

SkateBoard Ordinance: Hiemenz questioned City Attorney John Scheret~
on the status of Ordinance 89, Skateboard and Bicycle regulation.
Scheret~ stated that the Council should ve)"'y shortly receive the 1.lpdat e
fot-, inc:lusion in the Ordinance Book. Ordinance 89 has been published
and is enabled. Chief Lindgren requested a copy of Ordinance 89 fot~
his department.
Linnemann Inn: Hiemenz questioned Mr. Schet~et~ as to the status of the
Linnemann Inn pal'~k i ng lot. I-Je yt~en 5 stated that the City Offices sent a
letter requesting a detail plan of the pat~king at~ea to the Linnemann
Inn, but have not received a response to date. Scherer requested
WeYt~ens to forward a copy of this notice for his revieN and
recommendation.
Planning Commission: The Planning Commission met on March 7, 199'. and
discussed the following items: 1) Northland Phase II I; 2) Enabling
Ot~d i nance for the Park Commission and Planning Commission; 3) Nudity
Ordinance. The Planning Commission has requested additional time to
review the enabl i nr} ot~d i nance for their Commission as they have
requested additional i nfot~mat ion ft~o m the City Attorney. Since the
Planning Commission did not Nish to hold the Park Commission Enë\bl i ng
Ordinance from passage, they recommended Council app¡-~oval afte¡-~ the
City Att or~ney verifies whether or not the Council Liaison to the Park
Commission is a voting member.
êtat~ City: As pa t~t of the r.n~ocess in becDming a Star City the City
Council needs to establish a fl.\t1.n~e capital improvement plan. Aft et~
discussion, the Council requested the City Engineer be present at the
next meeting to discuss the fo¡--'mat ion of such.
R3.gartment Head Schedule: Hiemenz requested that the Depal'~tment Heads
prepare a schedule fot~ all of 1994 illustrating when they Nill be
¡-"epot~t i ng to the Counci 1. Scheduling Nould allow both Council Membet~s
and Department Heads ample time fot~ pt~epat~at ion.
Stearns Coun~ ?ubdivision RequlatioD.JLt Hiemenz stated that he has
t~ece i v ed information regarding sl.lbdivision t~egulations for Stean1s
County and proposed changes. The County has scheduled a hearing fOt~
lYat~ch 22, 1994, and Hiemenz is requesting authorization to attend.
Hazen made a motion authorizing the attendance of Councilor Hiemenz at

The Council questioned the underage drinking situation. Ch i ef Li ndg'r~en
feels that o ItJn e t~ s and patt~ons have become m(n~e socially conscious of
the issue and Police Department is continuing to m on i t O'r~ the sit uat ion.
He t~eport ed that Sal's Bat~ lS abiding by the license suspension, but
can continue to sell off-sale and set~ve food in the (~stabl i shment. The
license suspension was only fO'r~ the on-sale 1 icense.
The Council discussed the following mat t et~s with Chief Lindgren:
1. The loading zone by Gt~and Slam - the sign has been ¡-~emoved and
çat~S at~e pa'r~k i ng in that a¡-~ea ¿Ig¿d n. The sign will be
'r~eplaced as soon as possible.
