'1'h~ City Council for the City o:.t St. Joseph met in Special Session with
th~ st. Joseph Township Board at the Township Board's regular meeting,
on August 29, 1':3':34 at ':3:00 p. m. at the Township Hall to receive the
appraisal report from the Appraisal Committee.
Members present were Mayor Donald Bud Reber; Council Bob Loso, Ross
Rieke, Ken Hiemenz, Stephanie Hazen at ':3:1:5 p. m. City Attorney John
S0herer and Clerk/Administrator Rachel Stapleton. St. Joseph Township
Board members present were Bernie Schloemer, Joe Bechtold, and Jerome
Salzer; Township Clerk Anna Reischl.
The Appraisal Committee presented the appraisal report with Ken Hiemenz
as spokesperson.
After discussion between members of the Boards, Fire Department and
interested public~ Hazen made a motion to proceed with negotiations and
look at options on the Haske property. The motion was seconded and
upon call for a vote the motion carried.
Joe Bechtold made a motion to have John Meyer, Ken Hiemenz and Bernie
Schloemer along with John Scherer work as a negotiation committee. The
motion was seconded by Stephanie Hazen. Upon call for vote~ the motion
carried.
City Attorney John Scherer recommended to the City Council to ratify
the motions at their next regular meeting. Joe Bechtold requested that
'lhe City report back to the Township Board if there are any changes in
'lhe motions.
The City Council meeting ended at 10: 15 p. m.
