Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council for the City I
of St. Joseph met in special session on Tuesday, January 24, 1995 at
4:00 p.m. in the City Hall.
I'IEl'IBERS PRESENT: Mayor Donald Bud Reber; Council Ross Rieke, Bob Loso,
Ken Hiemenz, Cory Ehlert; Clerk/Administrator Rachel Stapleton.
UTHERS PRESENT: John Scherer, Dale Haug, Stephanie Hazen.
The purpose o£ the meeting was to consider the Building O£ficial
appointment for 1995.
Mayor Reber called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. Discussion with
Dale Haug on the position, duties, and requirements o:f City Building
Of£icial followed. Dale stated that he would be willing to provide his
own insurance and personnel to do the legwork. Mayor Reber made a
motion to appoint Dale Haug to the position of Building Of£icial which
will include an initial probationary period; seconded by Rieke.
Discussion -Loso felt it was inappropriate to deny reappointment of Ron
£uteneuer as Building O£ficial. Rieke stated that this position is on
a contract basis and in that capacity allows for change.
Ayes: Reber, Rieke, Ehlert.
Nayes: Loso, Hiemenz. Motion carried.
Rieke made a motion to allow John Scherer to prepare a letter of
appointment outlining duties and terms; seconded by Loso. I
Ayes: Reber, Rieke, Loso, Hiemenz, Ehlert.
Mayes: None. Motion carried.
Loso made a motion to adjourn at 4:43 p.m. seconded by Rieke.
Ayes: Reber, Rieke, Loso, Hiemenz, Ehlert.
Mayes: None. Motion carried.
