Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. Nayes: None. Motion carried. ~!Dg~§ª~ The Minutes were approved as presented with a motion by Dehler; seconded by Rieke. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. Nayes: None. Motion carried ª!!!ª~ The Bills payable were approved with a motion by Dehler; seconded by Rieke. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. I Nayes: None. Motion carried. ~º!!£§_ºªr~ Dehler made a motion to accept the new police car and approved payment to Tenvoorde Ford; seconded by Reber. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. Nayes: None. Motion carried. ºªE!~ª1-ºg11ªY-Bê9gêª1§: 1) Maintenance Dept. for set of drill bits, cost $110; 2) Parks Dept., Weed Chopper $250 with trade in; 3) Fire Dept. Four pagers & chargers, cost to City, $1648. Reber made a motion to approve these capital outlay purchases as presented; seconded by Sadlo. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. Nayes: None. Motion carried. B§D~ª! IDªE§£~!QD B§EQr~~ Hugo Weyrens discussed with the Council the Rental inspection program, corrections needed, and rechecks to be done. Æ!r§ ºQD~rª£l~ St. Joseph Township Clerk, Ann Reischel and Trustee, Joe Bechtold appeared before the Council to sign the Joint Operating Fire Contract along with City of St. Joseph Mayor and Clerk. ·BêªQ!g~!QD Hª§~§~ª~§r ÆQr£§~ª!D~ Dehler moved to approve the I Resolution accepting the Feasibility Report and Call for a Public Hearing; seconded by Sadlo. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke, Nayes: None. Motion carried. '~JJn~? { ~ ''r __~Vu - - Ç1ª£ßLßQmini§!£ª!Q£ BªEQ£!§~ Clerk/Administrator reported the City Engineer has inspected the street project in the Park Terrace area for possible problems in the surface wear and tire impressions and wear, and has notified the contractor who has also inspected the project and asked to see how hot weather affects it. BêYf ê§£Yi£§§~ Council questioned method in which City is evaluated for fee for RSVP services; asked Clerk to check and respond. ê~mm~£ ~mE1QYm~n!~ Reber moved to hire Steve Daniels through the RPVS summer youth program to replace Bob Pirkle who found other employment; seconded by Sadlo. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. Nayes: None. Motion carried. ~mE1QYm~n!~ Resignation of Laurie Terwey was presented and reluctantly accepted. Council requested the Clerk to advertise for the position and screen applications. çQ~n£i1 B~EQ£!§~ êªQ1Q~ Water system, wells and pumps are keeping up with the water demand with the restrictions on. The water tower maintenance work should begin in a couple weeks. Bi~ß~~ Planning Commission will meet next week but the hearing for Gene Scherer was cancelled. º§h1~£~ Park Commission held meeting and requested the City write letter officially supporting the shooting range in the new county law enforcement building; discussed need to keep 3 wheelers out of the parks and off the streets; also the Park Commission is considering hiring a winter recreation director perhaps through a cooperative program. Also discussed placing drinking fountain where hitching post is on Minnesota Street. êhQQ!ing Bªng§~ Rieke moved the Clerk send letter from the City Council to Stearns County Commissioners supporting the installation of a shooting range in the new law enforcement center; seconded by Reber. Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke. Nayes: None. Motion carried. ÇQHn£!!m§!2 B§EQ£! £Q!2:!~ Reber: Need to continue maintenance-repair of City Hall Annex; in need of new windows. MªYQ£B~EQ£!§~ Possible future projects discussed with the City engineer recently were - Reconstruction of Second AvenueAlú0 and other street maintenance; Storm sewer on Date Street; - also could delay or omit these projects and concentrate on the sewer forcemain project. B§Eªir~ Motion by Sadlo to have engineer do a feasibility study on First Avenue SE and Second Avenue W, project to be funded by Revenue Sharing monies; seconded by Reber.
