October 7, 1986
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council for
the City of St. Joseph met in special session on Tuesday,
October 7, 1986 at 8:00 p.m. in City Hall.

Sadlo, Ross Rieke. Clerk/ Adm. Rachel Stapleton; Marlin
Boeckman, Auditor·and City Consultant. Councilman Donald
"Bud" Reber absent, out of the City.
Mayor Loso called the meeting to order and stated the purpose
of the meeting was to have Mr. Boeckman respond to the City
Financial Statement and to discuss the City financial status.
Mr. Boeckman discussed the audit report with the Council and
stated that the City received an unqualified opinion which is
what the City is striving, for.

assets of Millstream Park Fund by transferring them to the
General Fund under Park and Recreation Division; seconded by .
Rieke.
Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke.
Nayes: None. Motion carried.
Council discussed possible uses of Revenue Sharing funds,
current needs of the City, and salaries and wages expenses
are allocated.
Iª~ L~YY~ Tax Levy for 1986 was approved as follows with a
motion by Rieke; seconded by Sadlo.
Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke.
Nayes: None. Motion carried.

ªE§2!~! ~ê§ ~§~~!!~ Dehler made a motion to approve the
special use permit request by James Krebsbach to allow
construction of a warehouse and bulk plant on 2.47 acres of
property located southeasterly of Millstream Park and North
of CSAH 75, as recommended by the Planning Commission;
seconded by Rieke.
Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke.
Nayes: None. Motion carried.
Variance Request: Planning Commission recommended denial of

the variance request for a billboard sign and recommended

purposing an ordinance to allow such, if Council wishes.
Dehler moved to request the City Attorney provide the
Planning Commission with a proposed ordinance to allow
billboards for their consideration and recommendation;
seconded by Rieke.
Ayes: Loso, Reber, Dehler, Sadlo, Rieke.
Nayes: None. Motion carried.
