3) Questioned the Counc i I on the need for a. better Civil
Defense Siren System. I f the City would purchase two sirens,
with a. one mile ra.d i 1~S, it would cc;s t. .3.pprox i m·=;,;. te I y $24,000
to $34,000. I f the Counc i 1 relt this WëI.S a need, he would
approach the To\"nship and College of St. Benedict for cost
participation. The Council wa.s in gene ra.1 ëI.greement th.3t
Councilor Loso should continue pursuing t.he civil defense
sirens.
4) Debris ëI.ppe¿<.r s to be collecting in the Da.le 5.3.10 a.ddition
again. Counc i I instructed the City Clerk to send a letter to
Mr. Sa. I 0 instructing him to cl ea.n up the debris within 10

Councilor Rieke ëlgreed that the City is in need of expansion,
and with there not being much va.can t land suitable for a City
complex, a.greed with Dehler. Councilor Loso objected to
paying $50,000.00 more for the property than a. recent ma.r Ke t
appraisal value and asked the Counc i 1 to consider researching
other ëI.I ternatives. Before ma.K i ng a. commitment, Councilor
Hazen felt it wa.s a.ppropr ia.te to ha.ve ëI. feasibility study
done on the property owned by the City ëI.nd the property
adjacent to it. RieKe made a. motion to a.pprove the purchase
of the above mentioned property for $150,000.00 with the help
of the City Attorney; Sa.d I 0 seconded the motion and reql.1eS ted
discussion.
Discussion: Sadlo would like to encourage the Counc i 1 to
consider purchasing the property beca.use the City is
short of space. This property would provide good access
for the fire dep.?.r tment a.nd provide the ml.1oh needed
parking. Additionally, sinGe we ëlT e looking a. t the
