Joseph met in special session on Thursday, July 27, 1978 at 7:00 p.m. ln Ci ty Hall. I Members Present: Mayor Hugo Weyrens; Councilmen Mike Husen, Herman Schneider, Steve Dehler. others Present: City Engineer Joe Bettendorf, City Attorney Tom Jovanovich. Bid Awarding: Joe Bettendorf announced that Hardrives, Inc. had lowest bid for Project 78-6012, 6th Avenue Improvement. It came in at $36,000.72. Joe said he feels they are unreasonably high. A motion was made by Husen seconded by Schneider to continue the bid awarding until the 10th of August, 1978, at 9:00 p.m. in order to notify the residents. Ayes: Weyrens, Husen, Schneider, Dehler. Nayes: None Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. Publîc Hearing: Meeting was called to order at 7:36 p.m. City Attorney explained what was being vacated and the Council felt C¿:V\lEA DA 1..£ there were no problems with it. A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Husen to approve Resolution f5T~TE"S to Vacate. J fiT" f()()f( , Ayes: Weyrens, Husen, Schneider, Dehler. Nayes: None Motion carried. Public Hearing adjourned at 7:38 p.m. Special Council Meeting: Meeting was called to order at 7:39 p.m. I Joe Bettendorf was confronted with some problems involved with moving equipment with metal track across tar roads and the poor job of compacting done on a service which was dug in Eastern Park. This was a service which will be paid for by Milner Carley because they missed the Eastern Park Project installation. Joe Bettendorf will write letter about service project and check out tar road gouges. Meeting adjourned at 7:51 p.m. Steve Dehler, Counci1man I
