Members Present: Mayor Hugo B. Weyrens; Councilmen, Herman Schneider, Bud Reber, Steve Dehler, Mike Husen; Clerk Bob Johnson; Attorney John Knapp. Meeting opened at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Weyrens. Also Present: Mike Loso, Fire Chief. Mike Loso, Fire Chief: reported fire conference change to June 3, 4, 5 at Crosby, NIN. Tennis Courts: Question of court cleaning with hipressure water use. Occasional suspension during public use. June 6 - 24, July 25 - Aug 5 beginning July 5 - 22 mornings and evenings will be open for public use. Tom Jovanovich Attorney: Presented brief outline of proposed ordinances and Ordinance changes. Council to study proposals until next meeting. Lyman Hull Annexation: Lyman Hull property annexation question reviewed and examined. Attorney John Knapp pres,ented comments on proceedures relating to orderly annexation district. All annexations must pass through the Minnesota Municipal Board hearing requirements. Re-Zone property - amend city Ordinance Rezoning Motion: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Reber to direct city attorney to prepare amendment Ord No. 59 stating city vvill recognize re-zoning by five man Orderly Annexation Board. Ayes: Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen, Weyrens. Nayes: None. Police Chief Lorentz: Suggested maintenance dept service police vehicle - approved by council. Lorentz reported on radar repair and return to use in patrol vehicle. A motion was made by Reber seconded by Husen to direct city clerk to invite conservation person to visit Millstream Park area to examine dredging plans of Park Board. Ayes: Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen, Weyrens. Nayes: None April police report presented by Chief Lorentz and examined by council. Liquor violations were examined. A motion was made by Reber seconded by Dehler to direct City Clerk to send letter to the liquor licensee regards violation. Letter to indicate police report indicates person leaving bar with bottle of intoxicating liquor after hours. Ayes: Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen, Weyrens. Nayes: None A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve Attorney Jovanovich attendance at League Conference, Rochester Mn relating to - crim.tnal prosecution. City to pay expenses. Ayes: Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen, Weyrens. Nayes: None '754 BilJ. Gohman Present: To discl1sS parking area at 14 plex apt bldg. Question of safety ~~d alley use. Þ.pplice.tion for variance to be submitted by Gohman. A motion was made by Husen seconded by Schneider to direct City Clerk to -- Write letter to H.R. FrQehle presented explanation of plans and related parkin~ - indicated 33' dedicat ion for north-south street abutting property. Bldg permit policies etc. examined relating to permits in residential areas being used for business purposes. Dick Taufen: request for chemicals to control weeds and deodorant blocks vaCUèOO booster on F-800 truck approved on motion by Dehler seconded by Schneider. Ayes: Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen, We~Tens. Nayes: None Report on 6th Ave SE sanitary sewer problem presented. A motion vms made by Husen seconded by Dehler to approve purchase of 4 street safety signs. Ayes: Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen, Weyrens.
