Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council met in session as a Board
of Review on Thursday, May 14, 1981 in City Hall at 7:00 p.m.
Members Present: Mayor Hugo B. Weyrens; Councilman: Herman Schneider; Bob Johnson,
City Clerk; City Assessor, Ollie Lesnick; County Assessor, Junie Weisbrick.
Others Present: Bill Meirhoefer, Dave pfannenstein, Mr. and Mrs. Art Reber, Glenn
Nielsen.
Purpose of Meeting: Purpose of reviewing and correcting the assessment paid City
for the year 1981. Persons appearing before the board were:
1) Bill Meirhoefer-question of homestead and non-homestead methods of
taxation, according to statute.
2) Glenn Nielsen - question of next years assessed value change - method
of assessed valuation determination reviewed.
3) Dave pfannenstein - lots behind his residence - R-2 - question of
value raised.
4) Art Reber - questioned market value of rental property - N 48' of
Lot 7, Blk 13, Townsite - assessor indicated property value had been
reduced.
5) Mark Lambert and Ernie Lambert were present. Mobil homes - within
st. Joseph Mobile Home Park.
6) Jeff Johnson appraised - Stearns County Assessor office. Appointment
to be made.
County Assessor June Wiesbrick indicated Board has power to continue for
20 days.
7) Bob pfannenstein - .22 A 5~ of Lot 24 & Lot 6, Blk 2, Aud. Subd. No. 4,
Loso's 2nd Addn. Assessor to re-appraise property.
8) LeRoy Rebischke property reviewed.
Former John Mayer residence change in ownership and homestead question
reveiwed.
Meeting closed at 8:25 p.m.
