Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the City of st. Joseph
met in session on Thursday, March 19, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall.
Members Present: Mayor Hugo B. Weyrens; Councilmen: Herman Schneider, Bud Reber, I
Steve Dehler, Mike Husen. City Clerk, Bob Johnson; City Attorney, Tom
Jovanovich.
Sanitary Sewer Project: Sanitary sewer project and future committment reviewed
by City Council. City Attorney instructed to dispatch letter to st. Cloud
relating to st. Joseph's desire for more information prior to a commit-
ment to hooking to the st. Cloud system via several interceptor lines.
Liquor Liability on city Property: City Attorney Tom Jovanovich provided a report
on his communication to the insurance company after the Recreational
Association received notice of termination of policy.
City Hall Renovation: City Clerk reported on renovation of former maintenance
shop portion of City Hall for Council meeting chambers and use as a
senior citizen center. Application for a $20,000 Agency on Aging grant
will be submitted to help defray the estimated approximately $58,000
cost of renovation.
Dog License Penalty: A motion was made by Husen seconded by Reber to approve a
dog licensing penalty of $1.00 per month after May 15, 1981, deadline.
Ayes: Weyrens, Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Burning and Demolition Permit: A motion was made by Reber seconded by Schneider
to authorize clerk to apply for a burning and six months, 2,000 CY I
demolition permit from the Minnesota pollution Agency.
Ayes: Weyrens, Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Minutes Approved: A motion was made by Reber seconded by Dehler to approve
minutes of February 19 and March 5, 1981.
Ayes: Weyrens, Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Fire Department Physicals: Fire Department physical exam policy to be reviewed
by fire board.
Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made at 10:30 p.m.
Ayes: Weyrens, Schneider, Reber, Dehler, Husen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
