BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING
- Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the City of st. Joseph
met as the Assessment Board of Review on Thursday, May 13, 1982 at 7:00 p.m. ln
~ ci ty Hall.
Members Present: Mayor Hugo B. Weyrens; Councilmen: Herman Schneider, Steve
Dehler, Mike Husen. (Absent: Bud Reber.) City Clerk, Bob Johnson.
Others Present: County Assessor, F. J. weisbrich; City Assessor, Ollie Lesnick;
City resident, Willard Gohman.
Mr. Gohman questioned the size of market value increase on his homestead
property for 1982. The increase amounted to $5,600.00, a 8.7% raise in
market value. The property is comprised of three 50' lots having a
$20,000.00 market value with the structures valued at $49,900.00.
The assessors considered the market value of the property reasonable
and no action was taken by the Board.
The assessor reported the market value increase in the City ranged
from 5 to 15% for 1982.
Adjournment: The Board of Review adjourned at 8:35 p.m. on motion by Husen
seconded by schneider.
Ayes: Weyrens, Schneider, Dehler, Husen.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
