Joseph met in session on Thursday, March 18, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. in City Hall. Members Present: Mayor Hugo B. Weyrens; Councilmen: Bud Reber, steve Dehler, I Mike Husen. City Clerk, Bob Johnson. (Absent: Councilman Herman schneider, hospitalized.) others Present: Mr. and Mrs. Bob Borresch, Michelle Borresch, Chief Lorentz, Patrolman Bush. Hearing: Bob Borresch appeared before the Counoil at 7:30 p.m. to present a complaint against Police Officer Bush. The incident occurred at Kay's Kitchen February 15 at approximately 9:00 a.m. - denied by Bush and Chief Lorentz. Gambling Licenses Approved: The following gambling and 3.2 licenses were approved on a motion by Reber seconded by Husen: st. Joe "Joes", Lions Club, st. Joseph Choir, st. Joseph Parish-(gambling and 3.2 beer for 4th of July). Ayes: Weyrens, Reber, Dehler, Husen. Nayes: None Motion carried. Fire Dept. Proposed By-Law Revisions: A motion was made by Husen seconded by Dehler to approve the proposed revisions to the st. Joseph Volunteer Fire Department Constitution and By-Laws as presented by the department. It was noted the Town Board had recommended approval also as proposed. Ayes: Weyrens, Reber, Dehler, Husen. Nayes: None Motion carried. Council Minutes: A motion was made by Dehler seconded by Reber to approve minutes I of March 4, 1982 with the following correction: Page 1091: Planning Report: (second line) review of s4Rg±e 0 lot-line concepts. plans for 3~ 26 Townhouses in Cloverdale Estates 2nd Addition also presented. -- Ayes: Weyrens, Reber, Dehler, Husen. Nayes: None Motion carried. Hall Project Report: Council walk-through inspection held. Architect Olsen, Bud Reber and Bob Johnson conducted a corrections inspection on March 9, 1982 at 4:30 p.m. The following corrections were noted: 1) Front door closure screws. 2) Mitres: Mitres: Mitres: 3) Back door screw holes to fill. 4) Replace wood trim left side door #104 - cut too short. 5) Nail door trim inside unisex bathroom. 6) Door #104 - cut very, very uneven at bottom. 7) Metal strip between carpet and quarry tile (old meeting side) has dropped below tile edge - will result in tile damage. Olsen to notify contractor - Bud Reber to obtain appraisal from local carpenter. Time extended to Tuesday, March 23, 1982 at 5:00 p.m. Swim Program Data: A meeting was held on March 9, 1982 in City Hall Annex at 7:00 p.m. with the following present: Margaret Stanoff, st. Ben's Physical Education Dept.; Bud Reber, City Recreation Director; Pat Schneider, I Summer Recreation Director; Bob Johnson, City Clerk. Program to be similar to 1981. 8 weeks - June 14 start - August 6 finish. possible 11:00 a.m. daily start time. stanoff to prepare pool schedule. 100Q uu Pool cost - $45.00 per week. ($40.00 in 1981.) Fee schedule to be re-examined - some fees to be increased. Parks Commission Report: Council representative Bud Reber reported on Parks Commission meeting held February 22, 1982. Copies were provided to all Council members. Purchasing Question: Cash purchase questions were reviewed with Maintenance Superintendent. Further study of possible solutions to be made. Police Report: Police Chief Lorentz presented a police report for the year 1981. Water Tower Repair: Contract renewal time - (5 ye ars ) - October 6, 1977 contract date. Question of use of silicone for inside of tank to receive review. Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was made at 10:35 p.m. Ayes: Weyrens, Reber, Dehler, Husen. Nayes: None Motion carried. ~~ . City Clerk
