City of st. Joseph Council Meeting - Special Meetìng
Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. I
Members Present: Mayor Mike Loso; Herman Schneider, steven Dehler.
others Present: Joe Bettendorf, City Engineer; Mike Fritz and sister Kathleen
Kalinowski, representatives from st. Benedicts Convent and College.
Proposed Development South of Kennedy School: st. Benedicts has not as yet discussed
water towers - a move to begin discussing this area will probably take place.
Joe Bettendorf shared the plans of future water tower location estimated two
or three years for tower erection. Land use south of Kennedy School is in
no way firmed up as of this date.
Separate or Combined Water System: Seem to be too many complications to make any
decisions in a hurry - a lot of planning has to take place.
schedule for Improvements to Wastewater Treatment System: System scheduled to be
built by 1986. Joe Bettendorf to provide cost estimates on the plans & Specs
area and Sewer Use Code area of the scheduled time line.
st. Benedicts wants a fair water pumping rate schedule prepared to establish
future wastewater costs. A meter is too costly to put in and maintain. Joe
Bettendorf will determine and set up a cost flow sheet pertaining to the
schedule for improvement to the Wastewater Treatment System.
Next meeting should be scheduled for end of July. I
