Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the city Council of the City of
st. Joseph met in session on Thursday, February 16, 1984 at 7:30 p.m. ln I
ci ty Hall.
Members Present: Mayor Mike Loso; Councilmen: Herman Schneider, Bud Reber,
steve Dehler; City Clerk, Bob Johnson; City Treasurer, Leo Sadlo.
(Absent: Mike Husen.)
Others Present: Deb Dorshorst, Courier Editor.
Treasurer's Report: A motion was made by Dehler seconded by Reber to approve
treasurer's report as presented.
Ayes: Loso, Schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Minutes: A motion was made by Dehler seconded by schneider to approve minutes
of Council meeting of February 2, 1984 as presented.
Ayes: Loso, Schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Police Car Bid Opening: Minutes of police car bid opening of February 16, 1984
at 11:00 a.m. were presented and filed.
Motion On Bid: A motion was made by Reber seconded by Schneider to accept bid
of Tenvoorde Motor Company on police car:
Net Price - $10,840.25
Less 1982 Ford LTDS trade in - 3,000.00 I
Total Bid Price - $ 7,840.25
Ayes: Loso, Schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Cable Commission Appointments: The following persons were appointed to the City
Cable Commission: Al Maleska, Karen Ahles, Norma Dickau, Charles Eckroth,
Ross Rieke; on motion by Reber seconded by Schneider.
Ayes: Loso, schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Sidewalk Assessment Refund: A motion was made by Reber seconded by Schneider to
refund H. P. Linnemann the sum of $184.35 (1975 Sidewalk Assessment).
Ayes: Loso, Schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Insurance - Property/Liability: The following changes in the City property/lia-
bility insurance coverage were completed: Wastewater plant - Control building,
etc. - 85,500; City Hall complex - 200,000 - 85,000; Màintenance shop -
50,000; Scout Building - 5,000. All fire department equipment previously
listed under miscellaneous and over $500 in value, now listed individually.
1983 Police Report: Council received copies fdr review.
Councilroom Chairs: A motion was made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve I
purchase of (6) council chairs. Boling series - walnut #8420, grade V,
color brown #2711.
Ayes: Loso, schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.

Police Chief Conference: On motion by Dehler seconded by Reber the Council
approved the Police Chief's attendance at a conference in Minneapolis
I on March 20 - 22, 1984.
Ayes: Loso, schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
City Clerk Conference: Dehler moved, schneider seconded to approve City Clerk
attendance at a conference in Minneapolis on March 14 - 16, 1984.
Ayes: Loso, schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Police Department Radio: Additional information to be obtained on request for
portable radio w/scanner for police department.
Ordinance codification: First copies received by Council for review, change,
etc. from City Attorney's office.
Liquor Violation Question: Council reviewed case; a motion was made by Reber
seconded by Dehler to suspend liquor license of Dale Schneider dba/Sal's
Bar & Lounge for one day and postpone suspension for six months on
condition there be no further violations during that six month period.
After six months, without violation, the suspension is automatically
cancelled.

Mayor Report: Wastewater question. City waiting for st. Cloud data.
I Clerk Mileage: City Clerk mileage statement approved on motion by Reber
seconded by Dehler.
Ayes: Loso, schneider, Reber, Dehler.
Nayes: None Motion carried.
Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
