Minutes o~ the Meeting of the Village Council Jan. 12, 1954
The Village- council of the Village of ~. Joseph met in seRsion at
the Vil~age Hall on Jan. 1?,1954, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. All
members of the council were present except Virgil Lodermeier.-
The following were elected at the annual village election held o.n
Dec. 8, 1953. Oscar Krebsbach, Mayor; Julian Botz, Trustee; Adrian
Sauer, Treas; Christ Pal1ansch, Justice of the Peace; Nick Borresch
Constable. Salary of the Mayor was raised to $10.00 per month and
the salary of Trustees were raised to $5.00 per month by the passing
of Ordinance # 49, 90 yes and 69 No.
The oath of, office were taken by Oscar Krebsbach, Julian Botz,
Christ Pallansch and Nick Borresch.
The Minutes of the meeting of Bee. 1, were read and motion made by
Reynold Kellner to accept them as read. 8ec. by Wm. Meinz, Carried

The 1953 financial Atatement was pre Rented and motion made by
Julian Botz to approve the statement as presented. Sec. By Reynold
Kellner, Carri ed.
Motion made by Reynold Kellner to request the Railroad and ~are-
house Commission to investigate the crossing on railroad street.

I Motion made by Julian Botz to move the fire alarm button from
Ray Schindlers to the power house at St. Benedicts. Sec. by
Reynold Kellner, Carried.

purguant to due call and notice therecf a postponed regular meeting
of the Village Council of the Village of qt. Joaeph, Minneeota, wae
duly held in the Village Hall in aaid Village on January 12, 1954 at I.
s: 00 P. M.
The following member. were pre.ent; o.car Krebgbaeh, Reynold Kellner,
Julian Botz, and Wm. Melnz. Absent wa~ Virgil Lodermeier.
John KnaPP, the village attorney, then read to the meeting a letter
from the Minneaota Railroad & WarehoUge Commigaion with reference to
the highway railroad grade crogaing at Railroad qtreet, ooMmonly
known as the "Mill cro~øing".
After full diecuegion Rgynold Kellner introduced the following reaolu-
tion and moved for its adoption:

dangeroug condition of the Highway Grade Crogaing of Railroad 9treet

requested the Great Northern Railway Company to install automatic
~ignalS at said location, and

Company.
