Joseph met in seRsion at the Vil~age Hall on Jan. 1?,1954, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. All members of the council were present except Virgil Lodermeier.- The following were elected at the annual village election held o.n Dec. 8, 1953. Oscar Krebsbach, Mayor; Julian Botz, Trustee; Adrian Sauer, Treas; Christ Pal1ansch, Justice of the Peace; Nick Borresch Constable. Salary of the Mayor was raised to $10.00 per month and the salary of Trustees were raised to $5.00 per month by the passing of Ordinance # 49, 90 yes and 69 No. The oath of, office were taken by Oscar Krebsbach, Julian Botz, Christ Pallansch and Nick Borresch. John KnaPP, the village attorney, then read to the meeting a letter from the Minneaota Railroad & WarehoUge Commigaion with reference to the highway railroad grade crogaing at Railroad qtreet, ooMmonly known as the "Mill cro~øing".
