All mem- bers or the council were present except Reynold Kellner. . The minutes or the May 3 and the special meeting on May 31 were read . . and Herman Schneider made the motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded, by Julian Botz. ~ Millet representing the Northe\n States Power 60. presented new electric power contracts rora period or 5 years ror street lighting and water pumping.~ø/Rø$øX~tíørl Julian Botz made a motion to pass a re- solution to accept a new contract rrom Northern States Power Co. Herman Schneider seconded the motion. ~i$øX~tíøri/tíX¢Ø/~~øiilN~rtMitrl/$tif¢i¡ Lawrence Loso,dba Midway Bar and Alois Walz dba El Paso Club were present and inquired about the On. Sale Liquor License. Discussion ,vas held with the council ast to nUÆber or licenses and the the cost. Mr. Walz asked the council ir they were assured that a third license would not be issued Jr they pi~d the dirrernce~the third license which was rQrmerly issued. He asked ror a resoluti n. ~ A short discussi~n or the subject or anly 2 licenses was held arter Walz and Loso lert. It was deèided that it waB best and worth a try ror a year. Julian Botz made a motion to grant only 2 ¡¡¢ø~Øø¢ ttOn-Salett Liquor Licenses ror the period rrom July 1, 1955 to July 1, 1956, the 'l/",,1.¢~Ý1iø and the (j)n -Sale License ree ror the Midvray Bar and the El Paso I Club to be $1500. Herman Schneider seconded the motion. 3 bids vrere opened for the p;J.inting ~2s~~§:Pfrlg, and puttying or the V1lJ.age Hall. .John Schroeder's bid "18.8. $~75.00, paint included, Archie Moran's bid was $400.00~ paint included, $325 witgmµt the paint, and William LQi,vell, Alcu:i.n l'rannenstein and \'¡illiam Reber entered a bid jointly of $150.00, excluding paint. (Paint was estimated at $75.00) Julian Botz made th? motion to accept the low bid of Lowell, prannesntein, and Reber, seconded by Herman Secrilleider.. Christ Walz asked ror a raise ror his labor at the dumping grouBds from 75 cent an hour to $l.ðð. Herman Sc:b..neider made the motion to grant the r~ise, seconded by Julian Botz. City Julian Botz m8de a motion to send $ firemen to Laket1.iZØ to attend the annual Firemen~ state convention. 30 expenses to be allow'ed each. Herman Schneider seconded the motion. .
