Schneider to accept minutes of regular and special meeting held in November as read. Mayor Zwack stated a resident had questioned the legality of the Justice of Peace appointment by council. Attorney John Knapp in- formed council they may appoint a Justice of Pe9ce as per Minnesota statutes. A motion v.¡as made by D. Rau and seconded by H. Schneider and seconded by Christ Pallansch to approve the following beer and cigarette applications: El Paso Club & Lanes, IUdway, La Playette, Legion Club, V.F. W. Club, Salts Cafe, Stueve's Gflrage, St. Joseph Meat Mkt., Wasner Pureoil, Loso"s Store, Jaren Drug, Linnemann's Store, Sauer's Store, College Inn. Applications of Home Cafe and Frisky Baits had not been received to date. Frank Froehle, representing the Col¡ege Inn, presented an application for a off-sale 3.2 license. A motion was made by Christ PallaDsch and seconded by D. Rau to approve and issue a 3.2 off-sale license to the College Inn. Motion carried. O. C. Dierkhishing, planning commission representative, stated the commission recommended the reappmintment of Leo~adlo and Claude Menzhuber to the planning commission. Both offices to expire at the end of 1960. Mr. Dierkhising also informed the council of the resignation of Bob Viehauser from the commission due to job comnlitt- ments and recommended the appointment of Albert Kuebelbeck to the fill the unexpired term. A motion vms made by Christ Pallansch and seconded byD. Rau to re- appoint Sadlo and Menzhuber to commission and to appoint Albert Euebelbeck to serve the unexpired term of Bob Viehauser. Engineer Teague presented a report on the sewerage plant ånd collect- or system. ~r. Teague outlined what had been accomplished to date; Plans and specifications for collector system were 90% complete to date. Mr. Teague outlined progress on the plant, stating detailed drawings were not complete, but that 50% of final design was complete at this time. Mr. Teague suggested and guaranteed. an Rpril letti.ng of contracts. A' discussion on seVIer rental charges· took place. Council to con- tinue discussion on this question in the future.
