JOSEPH lUNNESOTA MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL ~Ĺ’ETING HELD ON FIRDAY, SEPT~ER 24, 1971 I The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in special session on Friday, Sept. 24, 1971 at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present: Hayor George Gustin; Counciilnen, Herman Schneider, Roman Reber, John Schroeder, Bud Reber; Clerk Bob Johnson; Attorney John Knapp; Engineer Bob Ericson. The purpose of the hearing: to open informal bids on village hall alley, Salls Cafe alley and praking area surfacing project No. 71 - 525. Bids were tabulated as follows: Hardrives, Inc., St. Cloud - $3,387.54 Total Bid J. F. Donavan, Inc. St. Cloud - $5,293.50 total bid. Tri-City, Inc., St. Cloud $3,;28LGO total bid. Engineer to prepare letter of cost proposal for each parcel to present to Hr~. Hartha Lodermeier, Mrs. }tike Kelly and Sal Schneider for signature of agreement. A motion was made by John Schroeder seconded by Bud Reber to accept bid of Hardrives, Inc. subject to acceptance by property ov-mers involved. 1vlotion carried. The proposed change of street at the corner of Minnesota and 1st Street WN (Roman Meyer corner) was rexamined - Engineer Ericson indicated the corner contained 8 inches of reinforced concrete. The question was tabled for further study on a motion by Roman Reber seconded by John Schroeder. Motion carrjed. Gene Pfannenstein, Cemetery Assn. representative, requested building permit to I erect holding vault within 2 feet of south boundary of old cemetery property. Council instructed Mr. Pfannenstein to submit request and necessary information to Mrs. R. W. Kelly, Planning Commission chairman, prior to preparation of notice of hearing on variance necessary. A motion was made by Bud Reber seoonded by RonBn Reber to grant variance rg- quest of David Karn as recommended by planning commission, from side yard requirements to construct porch addition. Voting for motion: Bud Reber, Roman Reber, Herman Schneider: Voting against motion: John Schroeder.
