Joseph met in regular session oñ Thursday, Feb 8, 1962 with all members present. I A motion 1,'laS made by Rau and seconded by Iallansch to accept minutes of the previous meeting as read, IvIotion corried. A motion 1,vas made by Pallansch and seconded by Schneider to pay bills as presented with exception of pump repair charge by Wallace & & Tierman Co. (clerk to abtain additional information) motion carried. Futher actj.on to ai/wi t legal information tolJibbtained by village attorney. Hotion carried A motion was made bv Pallansch Dnd seconded by Schneider to appoint Nick Borresch weed inspector. Hotion carried. A motion vms made by Pallansch and seconded by Ran to appoint I Herman Schneider acting mayor. Ivíotion carried. ' 203 A motion was made by Pallansch and seconded by Hau to appoint the First State Bank as village depository. 1-1otion carri ed. In a motion made by Pallansch and seconded by Ral~ Roman Z'I:!Dck and Herman Schneider were reappointed Fire chief and Asst. Fire chief respectively. Motion was approved. A Motion 1,'lÐS lnBde by }Iau and seconded by Pallansch to re-appoint Herman Schneider as council repr~sentative on plonning commission. Motion carried. In a motion by Pallansch and seconded by Rau,Melvin Stueve and Pete Taufen were appointed to the fire department. Hotion cDrriod. A motion vlÐsmade by Schneider and seconded by PallDnsc]l to accept village financial statement as presented for publication. Motion carried. A discussion of the proposed zfuning ordinance was held with plann- ing commission members Sadlo, Kapsner and Menzhuber. No action was taken at this time with regard to zoning ordinance. Bill Daniel, NSP representative, presented a street lighting proposal. The survey and proposal were examined and discussed by the cOli..ncil.
