MINUTES OF REGULAR VILLAGE COUNCIL 1</EETING HELD ON APRIL 13, Lq~
The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in regular see~ion
I on Wednesday, April 13, 1966 With the following members present:
Lodermeier, Schneider, Reber, Meinz, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp and
engineer Richarà Teague.
Al Donabauer presented an insurance claim qUåstion regarding water
thaw electrical c1aim--Haider insurance claim of $111.96--advised to
return to insurance company stating no liability.
Minutes of previo'8.s meeting approved as read.
Storm s~er discussion held with engineer Teague. Storm wewer inspec-
tions to be made after thaw~
Frozen water main problem examined--section to be tested before sur~
facing completion.
Sani tary sewer "back-up accidentW re-examined., Accident described
by Lorentz with reasons for procedure explained by engineer Teague.
Resident George McA10nie questioned Village liability., Attorney John
Knapp presented opinion that Village could not assume liability if
insurance Co. refuses claim.
Question of possible negligence by Donovan Contracting on new section
of stor.m sewer to be explored. Claims to be submitted to Insurance
I Company.
Kierzek presented rep~rt on plant and attendance at Sewer Operator
School.
Engineer Teague presented and explained new Village plats.
Donovan rescheduled for May 15.
. Seal coating discussed---engineer to inspect street conditions.
Clean-up of curb and boulevard areas requested by residents.
Township fire protection discussed.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to pay bills as presented
and allow Bud Reber $25..00 for police clothing allowance.
Flu~ridation pump question examined.
Pinball machine collection method discussed.
Motion made by Reber seconded by Schneider to amend Section 11 sub-
division 2 of Zoning Ordinance No. 59 to read as follows: Application
of Adjustment shall be accompanied by pa,ment of a fee of $10.00
I in addition to reguler bUilding permit..
Lorentz requested 3-4 loads of dirt for duck area--request for granite
base---requests approved by Council. Area to be presented on weco
TV ne\.¡s presentation.

Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve bldg. permit
application by Harold Counter for Hoedecheck residence, lot 18,
Park 1'errace.
Request by Haider for dues payment in National Recreation Assn.-- I
cost $35.00---tab1ed
Recreation question tabled.
Council to meet in special session on April 21, 8 p.m.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve request by
Lions for erection of Lions International sign located on west-end
Minnesota street~
Request by Lorentz for archery target area at plant site presented.
Report on army surplus truck rurchase presented by Lorentz.
Cost of power takeoff hoist pump to be appraised.
Motion made to adj. at 12:30 æ.m.
