Joseph met in regular session on June 9, 1966 with the following member present: Lodermeier Reber, Wieber, Johnson and Attorney John Knapp. Minutes of the previous month meetings ppproved as read. Ollie Lesnick questioned street assessment on former Greininder property--had not recieved notice of assessment. Jerry Johnson bIg. permit application examined. Motion made by Reber seconded by JOhnson to grant bldg. permit to Jerry Johnson with notice ordinance prohibits multiple dwelling occupancy. Motion made by Reber seconded by Jo~nson to grant Sal Schneider an on-sale Don-intoxicating liquor 1icinse for balance of 1966. Motion carried. Motion made by Reber seconded by Johnson to grant parish an on-sale non-intoxicating liquor license for 4th of July celebration. Sales to be restricted to beer stand. Lorentz repIDrted Borresch work satisfactory up to present illness reported by Mayor. I Fluoirdation pump returned and operating. Borresch to instruct Kierzek with operation--including tests and record procedures. Ray Schindler presented question of lot sizes--lots 9 & 10 Blk 13 Loso Addn. Attorney Knapp to examine question and provide clerk ø~' with information. Ves Roeder had question of boulevard upkeep--dreivway ~roblem to be examined by Teague. Hub Klein variance question examined--hearing report presented. Motion maðe by Reber seconded by Johnson'to grant variance, rezoning property residential to commercial. Ball Park mowing question--Fred Reber equipment.reported dovm. Leander Meyer to be contacted for mnwing. Jerry Rennie expressed dissatisfaction and questioned Village pOvler to stop excr:vation project not having permit. Informed permit reqûire- ments will continue to be inforced as requireå by ordinance. Question of water tapping by unauthorized personnel to be further exam:~ ned. I Delphin ~rSCh presented a request for sign erection~elating ~f Bait sij.O'p -off iff premises--(Honer property) Advised such request would require application for vairance and public hearing. Oscar Krebsbach presented application for permit to install tanks <and pumps--east side of alley abuttmng on east side of ~ garage 314 iil bu:; Iding . Fire marshall approval ~~F? Motion ma?e by Reber seconded by Wieber to grant permit as per I application. Registered letter of John Schroeder to council regarding street improvement project advertisement for bid. Dump ordinance--to be prfpared --proposal next month., Certification of s~et assessment on Neis pro,erty to auditor-- (curb & gutter--199.8 ft. at $1.52) ($303.696 Alley surfacing question--assessments completed-- lot line problem discussed--project still approved. Teague to examine alley blading needs-- East-west alley in 1st block--off College Ave. reported in poo~<condition. street condition atball pµTk discussed--condition poor--plant ser- vicè' road question revievled--Donovan peported 2' weeks rAi avJaY at earliest. Motion made by Reber seconded~Wieber to blackstop monument area (fronting) Catch basin question(hall alley) reviewed.. I Seal coating question discussed with engineer Teague--conditions to be examined by Teague. Kierzik plant report presented-- Bob Lodermeier presented inquiries relating to youth work program-- listed projects for Kremer Lake site. Main freze-up problem reexamined--storm seYler reported bm~cked-- valve nearly closed at 2nd Ave. S.E. and Able St., reported by Engineer as probable cause. Motion made by Reber seconded by Wieber to pay þills as presented. Motion carried. Motion made by Wieber seconded by Reber to re-appoint Mrs. Robert Ke'jryand appoint Rudy Garko to planning connission--motion carried. On a motionby Rebèr seconded by Wieber a permit was granted to ffBll Telephone vo. to place underground cable from Losfo Quanset Warehouse to El Pa so--under Birch SJ...' Motion madè by Reber secondèd by Wieber to approve participation in Band calendar project at a cost of $3.00 per year. I Motion made by Reber seconded by Wieber to transfer $500.00 from farm fund bakk to general fund. Recreation program discussed: Mr. and Mrs. Jim Loso to head program. ~ --~ - -~ 315 Swim instructor question .ndecided. I Youth work program discussedr Motion made by Reber seconded by Wièber to appoint Bill Lorentz as coordinator of youth work program.
