MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL NEETING HELDSept. 9, 1966
The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in regular session
on Thursday, Sept. 9, 1966 with the following members present: Lodermeier,
Schneider, Reber, Weiber, Johnson, Engineer Teague, and Attorney John II
Knapp.
Joe Prom, O1-mer of tbe Silver D~:f1ar, introduced Mr. and Mrs. David
Scoles, 527-8th Ave. No." st. Cloud, as applicants for beer and cigarette
licenses,.n~ ~y . Applicants also requested bottle club license
approval.
Discussion of bottle club license requrst hel~with Bill Rothfork and
Joe Luzius indicating they favored council approval of bottle club
license to arplicants.
Joe Prom indicated the establishment would be remod-eled. (an estimated
$1500-$2000)
Applicants to prepare and submit application form,s prior to further
council action. References were submitted.
Engineer Teague to check lot sizes as requested by Ray Schindler.
Bob Burkner presented a complaint regarding off-center installation of
drmveway to former Robert Bro1-m property. Attorney John Knapp stated
the purchaser had no recourse at tbis time;' not considered a legal
question. Council to examine problem.
Engineer Teague to examine Stueve Drainage problem. II
Bill Gohman questioned street elevations and drainage at new school site.
Engineer to provide necessary irformation¡
Motion made b~7 Schneider seconded by Reber to accept petif*ion for anne-
xation of de'scribed property as presented by School Djstrmct Ko. 191'2.
Harold ~ounter presented question of lot line distance as related to
house plans for lot 25 Park Terrace addition. Clerk to check alley
dedication question 1-li th ~udi tor and Zoning question vTÎ th Attorney" John
Knapp.
Cu~b and gutter project installation of Henning SidèvTalk Co. examined
~ report presented by Engineer Teague.
Final estimate of Donovan Contracting examined and discussed--Engineer
to re-submit final estiIDÈte.
Salls cafe alley surfacing question examine~. 'Approved on Engineerts'
re-examination and approval.
Plant operation discussed.

Bills were presented and approved on motion by Wieber seconded by
Schneider.
Motion made by Reber seconded by Wieber to approve tbe following election
judges for primary election on Sept. 13, 1966:

I Mrs. Norbert Zierden, Mrs. Clara Rassier.

Ballot counters: Herman Schneider, Leo Sadlo, Roman Zwack, Lee Klein.
Pauline Silbernick request for additional aid in the amount of $70.00
for this month approved on motion by Wieber seconded by Reber.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Wmeber to purchase siren from
Borresch for $25.00.
Council indicated an interest to participate in ItCommunities Police
Protection" program.
DeQjre for street dedication by school board in new school area reaffirmed
