':)U MINUTES OF RRGULflR SESSION OF VILL'GE COUNCIT MEETING HEIJD Dec. 8, 1966
The Village council of the Village of st. Joseph met j,n regular session on
Dec. 8, 19F6 with the following members pre~ent: 10dermeier, Schneider, I
Reber, Meinz, Johnson and attorney John Knapp.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.
Bill Lorentz presented report of $125.00 damage to fluorescent lig~ting at
skating rink--NSP to repair this damage at no cost--future COs~~m~ge* to
fixture to be village liability.
Bud Rebe]-. on call police off:æc'er,. presented police complaint against oper-
ators of the College Inn. Officer Re~er stated at 1:30 a.m. Sunday
Dec. 3 he observed 23 persons in the College Inn. Upon being reminded of
20 minute rule-- David Scoles replied, quote:"I don't give a...damn."
Liquor reported standing openly on tables. Clock reported in error.
On motion by Schneider seconded by Reber, cleek instructed to send letter t
of warning: to Margaret Scoles, licensee, of ouncil decision to suspend
licenses if reasons of complaint are not corrected immediately--mmtion
carried.

Attorney J;tin Knapp presented informa tion on fÚ1é car ordinance. Zoning
ordinance equate for area zoned residential.
Pure Oil station to be ~otified by chief Lorentz. Adoption of ordinance
on junk cars to be delayed for further research.
O.G. Dierkhising reported in violation cf zning ordinance (residential I
area requirement). Clerk instructed to notify O.C. Dierkhising he has 30
days to comply v.JÌth ord1nance requ'rementspn motion by Reber seconded by

A motion was made by Reber seconded by Schneider to pay bills as presented:
Bill Lorentz reported ~ snow removal problems-- parking Bestrictions relating
to snow removal to be reprinted in Dispatch.
Motion made b' Schneider seconded by REber to appoint Dick Schroeder trustee
to fill vacancy on Council created by~he resignation of Paul Wieber.
Motion made b" Schneider seconded by W:':'ber to authorize Bill Lorentz to
purchase time clock.,
