JOSEPH MINNESOTk ·2·97 MI1mTES OF SPECIAL SESSION ON VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD ON OCTOBER 14, 1965 The village council met in special session on Oct. 14, 1965 with I St. Joseph Township board and representatives of fire department. Council members present were: Lodermeier, Schneider, Reber, Wieber, Johnson and Attorney John Knapp. Township board members present were:' Leo Zimmer, Leander Meyert Al HOffman, Robe~t Rassier, Wilfred Kremer and Attorney John, Pa tison.> -,<~øv) Fire department~resent were: Schneider, Zwack, Sadlo along with department members. Farm fund deficits presented - 1961 to present time. Financial report for present year also presented~ Report on file. Discussion on farm fund question and Township fire protection held. Both attorneys present declared village owne~ of farm truck. Discussion of protection- and costs assessed on proportionate basis for all Townships concerned. Method of appropriation of funds to be the decision of Townships involved. Village to determine amount necessary for adequate fire protection operation and fund deficit elimination. I Village - Township dump agreement examined and discussed. Village requested authority to police dump grounds. Agreement necessary for power of arrest on dumping violations by non-residents. Agreements to be combined - ,Attorney Pattison to examine proposed agreement and return to Attorney John Knapp. Writen agreement for dump use to be prepared for St. Benedicts.
