VILLAGE OF ST., JOSEPH MINNESOTA - 299
MINUTES OF REGULAR VILLAGE CO NCIL MEETING HELD ON NOVEMBER 4, 1965
The Village of St. Joseph met in regular sescsion on Nov. 4, 1965 with
I the following members present: Lodermeier, Schneider, Reber, Wieber,
Meinz, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp and Engineer R.W. Teague.
Minutes of meetings held on Oct 7, 14, and 27 approved as read.
Motion was made by Schneider seconded by Weiber to pay bills as presented.
Kierzek reported barminuter problems - removal in spring for'repair--
tree replanting at plant scheduled for spring.
Delegation of Gene Pfannenstein, Al Maleska, Harold Counter and Richard
Stock presented question of village co&t-sharing 67¢ per ft on curb &
gutter installation. Question of cost-share not decided at present -
if made, reimbursement will be to all property owners participating in
curb & gutter installation.
Bob Lodermeier presented request for catch basin in alley abutting his
property to aid Ørainage. Believed street improvement enlarged his
drainage problem.
Discussion held with R. W. Teague, Engineer.,
Estimate of catch basin installation placed at $749..00., Problem to be
re-examined in A.Jr., by engineer and Schneider.
I Motion made by Reber seconded by Wieber to follow through on project
as'recommended by Engineer after re-examination. Motion passed.
Attorney John Knapp presented reading of Ordinance no 65 renaming streets.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Wieber to adopt ordinance No. 65
renaming streets. Motion pa ssed.-
Motion made by Wieber seconded by Reber to approve tax levy as recommend-
ed and set at Oct. 27 meeting. Motion passed.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Wieber to approve election canvass.
Motion passed.
Motion made by Reber seconded by Schneider to approve bldg permit app-
lication of Dan Brutger forHarbey Bot~ residence on final inspection
by Roman Reber.
Lorentz indicated need for police protection during deer hunt. Lorentz
and Bud Reber both to be out of town. Lorent~ to secure replacement..
Inquiry presented for hall use for meeting of scnaol district officers
on 1st Tuesday of month for regular meetings. No objection by council.
