MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD Feb. 9, 1967
The Eillage council of the Villgge of St. Joseph met in regular session I
on Thursday February 9,;- 1967 with the following members present: Loder-
meier, Schneider, Reber, Schroeder, Johnson, Meinz, Attorney John Knapp.
Minutes of previous meetings approved as read.
Discussion of Township fire contract held-- attorney John Knapp to pre-
pare new contracts.
Attorney John Knapp presented a Civil Defense Ordinance. Council to
examine proposed ~rdinance--adoption tabled.
Non-intoxicating liquor ordinance examined--attorney Knapp to revise-
ordinance to be re-examined at next meeting.
Don Shipp, Feed-Rite Controls, Inc., presented information on fluorida-
tion equipment necessary for re-activation of program. Disoussion of
equipment, costs, installation and quarrantees held.
Motion made by Schneider seoonded by Reber to approve purchaseaf new
fluoride feeding equipment from Feed-Rite Controls, Inc. for $725.00 installed
as per specs and information presented. Plans and specs to be submitted to
State Department of Health as required.
Don Haider, assessor,.informed counoil of his office hOUÐS at Village hall- I
7-9:30 p.m. starting feb. 24 and every second and fourth Friday until fur-
ther notice, for convenience of taxpayers having questions relating to real
and personal property.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to pay bills as presntedwith
exoeption of statement of Miller Motors (truck repair) and Cecils' ~on-
struction for snow removal in Januar-y. ? xCp
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to pay Pauline Silbernick $50.00
as aid for this month. County aid to beoome effeotive Feb. 22, 1967 in the
amount of $99.00 per month.
Luella Klein aid case examined. Further action in this case to be governed
by reports and official application to be forwaråed by County ~elfare Office.
Planning firm of Nason-Wehrman-Knight & Chapman to be notified of council
and Planning firm confirmation of Maroh 30, 1967 meeting date.
Dump permit question tabled.
Lor~ntz request for radar presented- additional information to be secured. quest -
ion tabled.
Trustee Dick Schroeder presented additional infor~tion on United Fund Plan- I
suggest~ possibility of a commuity organization oonduoting program. Lortenz
to present United Fund question to Lions. ;
