JOSEPH, MINNESOTA 337 MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL WŒETING HELD April 6, 1967 I The Village Council met in regular session on April 6, 1967 with the following members present: Lodermeier, Schneider, Reber, Schroeder, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp and Engineer R.W. Teague. Ves Roeder and Martin Pfannestein, representing fire dept., presented ap request for additional protective equipment for fire dept. Equipment shortages reported on both fire trucks. A motion was made by Reber seconded by Lodermeier to authorize purchase of six sets (dress equipment) for department. Max Meyer presented complaint of flooding at gravil pit site caused by construction of dam in first channel--easement relating to area examined--dam to be removed. Don Haider presented two assessmentpJ forms for council completion-erroneous valuation increase on Industrial Woodworking Co. and transposition of figures on Sylvester Theisen tax statement. Corrections approved and forms were completed by council. c . Leo Sadlo request for fire dept. el\IUipment, informed} of earlier request and purchase approval by council. Chuck Schmitz, Harvey Kierzek and All Emynck presented application for beer license at ball park for Joes baseball club. approved on motion by Schroeder seconded by Reber for period baseball season. The delegation also requested I infield fill, material for fence repair and aid in securing or contructing batting cage. Council approved requests with batting cage cost estimate to be submitted to clerk. O.C. Dierkhising posed question of house rental involved in zoning question. Zoning questions unanswered at this time. Dave pfannenstein questioned extent of Brutger multiple construction. Storm sewer quœstion discussed--sewer rodding machine use to be further axpiliored. Cost estimates on St. Ben's entrance (storm sewer project) to be prepared by Engineer Teague. Park Terrace proposed seal coating project examined: 3500 lin. ft.-$2500.00 estimate--normal seal with additional prime and oil proposed by engineer Teague, the coat this year followed by a second coat with over-all seal coating project scheduled for next year. . - Motion made by Schroeder seconded by Reber to approveØ Seal coating of Park Terrace area. carried. Motion amended by Schroeder to include plant area . Black top amendmant seconded by Reber. Engineer Teagué to prepare plans and specs-- Engineer to contact Donovan Contracting to repair street breakup. Water line size to cemetery set at 6", as recommeded by Engineer Teague. Planning firm meeting set for April 20, 1967- 7:30 p.m. Motion made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve Kierzek attendance at Sewer operators school at $15.00 per day allowance. Motion by Schneider seconded by Schroeder to pay bills as presented. Application for bldg. permit of Woman Reber- 8x12 addition to residence-approved on motion by Schneider seconded by Schroeder. Motion made by Reber seconded by Schneider to grant Lorentz bIg. permit as per application upon compliance with ordinance requirements. Ràdar question tabled.
