JuSEPH, MINNESOTA ~1/JrIØjJ/ ¢¢ llr.T¡trJll4lߨ MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL ifÅ’ETING HELD May 6, 1967 ~hedVillage council of the Village &æ St. Joseph met in regular session on I F~l ay , may 6, 1967 with-~the following members present: Lodermeier, Schneider, Rêber, Schroeder, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp. Discussion and examination of non-intoxicating liquor ordinance question held. Motion made by Schroeder seconded by Schneider to adopt revised non-intoxicating liquor ordinance as proposed by Attorney John Knapp. Motion carried. Dan Loso presented complaint on neighborhood junk & refuse pile upland drainage J problem at his property. Engineer to be notified of drainage prob~em for his inspection. Clerk to post letter of complaint to Notch Pure Oil and Prom Body Shop regarding remova~~ of junk, refuse, combustible materials from premises. Civil Defense ordinance presented by Attorney John Knapp and adopted on motion by Reber seconded by Schroeder as ordinance No. 1967-k,. Letter from Attorney Pattison to Attorney Knapp regarding Max ~e(er complaint of dam constructed at first pond (plant site) presented. Dam repor ed as removed- remaining few 2 x 4's to be removed by Lorentz. Attorney Knapp to examine abstract on Borresch property purchased by Village in 1962-action prompted by Stearns Welfare noticè of lein forclosure- Motion made by Reber seconded by Schroeder to pay bills as presented. motion carried. Discussion held on Plueger-Scher~project east of the Village (former Schmidt farm) Engineer Harold Wagner working on sub-division t~iPt~tt¢P pl~tting for area. referred to village sub-division regulation ordinance No. 55 established in April 1961- Q~estion also referred to planning commission. Motion made by Schroeder seconded by Reber to appoint Bob Viehauser temporary chairman of planning Gommission. Clerk to contact 41 IvIaleska or Peter Giréaux as possible appointees to commission filling vacancy created by resignation of Michael Nierengarten. Council approved increase of $2C.00 per month to Ray Theisen salary to compensate for private hospitalization policy. On motion by Schneider seconded by Reber the following an & off sale Liquor licenceþ applications were approved: Claude Menzhuber & A.C. Walz (El Paso) on & off sale Catherine Dierkhising (La Playette) on & off sale Mrs. Helen Jaren (Jaren Drug) off-sale Reuben Wiener (Mid~y) on & off sale Le Roy Klein (VFW) on-sale cL"tT l<-<-C,,-,-I. \l'L~- I Robert Viehauser (Legion Club) on-sale license. Motion carried unanimously. Lorentz reported on VFW parking problem--parallel parking to be established on north side of club--east-west on Ash Street. Radar information examined by council~ Model 600- straight radar at $895.00 Model 6éOH-includes hold meter at $995.00 Model 700C- inciliudes electronic speedminder at $1140.00. Demonstration to be scheduled by Lorentz. Clerk to send message of gratitude to fire dept. for invitations to annual fire par~y. Motion made by Schroeder seconded by Reber to authorize purchase of 100 ft. of hose (1 1/2") for plant. Brutger multiple dwelling sewer connection reported not inspected. ~uestion to re- ceive further examination.
