MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF VILLAGE COUNCIL HELD ON SEPT. 7, 1967
I The Village of St. Joseph met in regular session on Thursday, Sept. 7, 196 7
with the following members present: Lodermeier, Schneider, Schroeder,
Meinz, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp. Absent Councilman Roman Reber.
Minutes of previous meeting read and accepted as read.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by JüWv to ratify contract
with Watertower Paint & Repair Co. for cleaning & painting water tank.
MotLm carried.
Motion made by Schroeder seconded by Schneider' to pay bills as presented.
Marguret Scoles non-intoxicating liquor question tabled.
O.C. Dierkhising, Reuben Wiener and Claude Menzhuber presented co,,;-
plaints against both the V.F.W. and American Legion Club regardingr~~~~
~~~ale of strong beerý and liquor off-sale. Clerk to remind clubs,
by letter) that club licenses do not permit hff-sale liquor or strong
I beer.
O.C. DierklÜsing and Claude Menzhè;ber presented petition for Sunday·
liquor license. Attorney to examine and determine Menzhuber eligi-
bility. Question of Sunday liquor sales to be placed on election
ballot Nov. 7, 1967. The three liquor dealers also requested council
consider reduction of reg~lar liquor license fees. Question tabled.
Fee for Sunday liquor license undetermined.
Del Horsch presented request of St. Joseph Meat Market for reconsideration
of Voz aid account. total $156.24 Meat Market agreed to a 20%
reduction of total. On motion made by Schneider seconded by Johnson
council agreed to pay $75.00 as final settlement.
Frank Schloemer bl~permit application to construct 18 x 20 garage
approved on motion by Schneider seconded by Johnson.
Lorentz hospital insurance quéstioh tabled. Information on St. Benedicts
I group & American F'amily plans to be obtained for further appraisal.

unit as previously described and e~amined. '1' .
