IUNUTES OF REGULAR SESSION OF VILLAGE tCUNCIL HELD ON Dec. 7, 1967
I The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in regular session on Thursday,
December 7, 1967 with the following members present: Councillmen Schneider and Reber;
Clerk, Johnson; Attorney John Knapp and Police Chief Lorentz. Absent: Councilman
Schroeder; Ma¥or Lodermeier in attendance at 9;30 p.m..
The meeting was openèd by acting Mayor Schneider at 8 p.m.
Minutes of the regular Noveember meeting were approved as read.
Bills werepaid on motion by Reber seconded by Johnson. Mo:it ion carried.
A motion was made by Reber seconded by Johnson to approve membership applications,
of David Schindler and John Ludwig to Village fire department. Motion passed.
A motion was presented by Reber seconded by Johnson to approve School Distrmct request
for Village hall use as school bus station with school district to provide supervision.
motion passed.
Motion maèe by'Reber seconded by Johnson to provide Nick Borresch $75.00 aid for
December. motion carried.
Þ Regulation and use of Village operated dump examined by council. Due to the increase
in unauthorized and flagrant dumping use & practices the council has established a
I schedule for dump use. Days and hours for dumpimg statting on Dec. 16 are as follows:
Wednesdays and Sautrdays- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice.
On mfution by Reber seconded by Johnson the following police department purchases
were approved: Magnetic emergency flasher, patrol car decals (2), sneak thief powder,
two Badges, detachable stop light for 2nd patrol car, fingerprinting kit. motion carried.
Violations and problems relating to dog ordinance were reviewed and examined.
Skating program a~warming house heating and supervision discussed. hours at no. 1
rink will be 6:30 0 9 p.m. weekdays; 1:30 to 4:30 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. on weekends.
Opening of rink no. 2 in the new school area will be discussed with school board.
Herb Dehler to be hired as rink no. 1 supersisor at $1.26 per hour.
Annexation of area east of village briefly discussed by council with question referred
to planning commission for re-examination and study.
