JOSEPH MINUTES OF SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL NEETING HELD ON JUNE 20, 1968 I The Village Council met in special session on Thursday, June 20, 1968 with the following members pr.esent: Roman Zwack, mayor; councilman Schneider, Reber, Schroeder; Johnson, clerk and Attorney John Knapp. . Purpose of hearing: (7 :30 p.m.) ~o consider suspension of liquor license of Reuben Wiener, Midway Bar, as licensee for violation of ordinance no. 62 (conviction in municipal court and fined $100.00 for sale of liquor to juvenile). Details and explanation of case presented by Reuben Wiener. Purpose of hearing: (8:00 p.m.) To consider suspension of liquor license of Claude and Marian Menzhuber, El Paso Club and .Lanes, for violation of Ordinance No. 1967 (conviction in justice court and fined $100.00 and costs - $50.00 suspended for sale to minor) Testimony of Claude and Marian Menzhuber and Jerry Johnson, bartender, heard. No identification check made by bartender. Testimony and information relating to both cases presented by Police Chief Lorentz and Special Police Bud Reber. After recess and private deliberation of council, a motion was made by I Schroeder seconded by Reber to suspend both licenses and operation of Midway Bar and El Paso Club for a period of 24 hours from 8 a.m. Friday June 28th to Saturday June 29th at 8:00 a.m. Motion to adjourn hearing made at 9:15 p.m. The council met in brief special session at 9:20 p.m. after discussion: a motion was made by Schroeder seconded by Reber to suspend parking on public property for the 4th of July - motion carried.
