VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH, MINNESOTA
MINUTES OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 1961
The Village ~ouncil of the Village of St. Joseph me~ in regular session on Thursday
Jan. 5, 196L The following members were present: Roman Zwack, Mayor, Herman Schneider,
Donald Rau, Christ Pallansch. Robert Johnson was absent due to illness. Upon Motion
Wm. Meinz was appointed clerk-pro-tem.
The oath of office was administered to Herman Schneider, the Trustee elect.
The minutes of the meeting.sof Dec. 8 and Dec. 15, 1960 were read and motion made by
Christ Pallansch and seconded by Don Rau to accept them as read. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Don Rau and seconded by Christ Pallansch to appoint Trustee, Herman
Schneider as acting Mayor for the year 1961. Motion Carried.

Motion made by Christ hlllanseh to designate the St. Joseph Dispatsch as the official
newspaper for the year 1961. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Christ Pallansch and Seconded by Don Rau to appoint Dr. Davidson as
Health Officer. and Trustee Herman Schneider and Mayor Homan Zwack to serve on the
health board for 1961. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Don Rau and seconded by Christ Pallansch to designate the First State
Bank, St. Joseph, Minn. as the Village depository for 1961. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Christ Pallansch and Seconded by Don Rau to appoint Homan Zwack and
Herman Schneider as Fire Chief and Ass't Fire Chief, respectively for the year 1961.
Motion Carried.
Motion made by Christ Pallansch to appoint Herman Schneider to serve as council
representative on the St. Joseph Planning Commission for the year 1961. Seconded
by Don Rau. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Christ Pallansch and seconded by Don Rau to have the clerk write a
letter of authorization to Northen States Power Co. to install a street light at the
Village Hall on San Francisco- St.. Motion Carried.
Motion made by Don Rau and seconded by Christ Pallansch to approve beer and cigarette
applications of Home Cafe and Frisky Bait Shop. Motion Carried.
The bills were presented for payment. Motion made by Herman Schneide~ and seconded
by Christ Pallansch to pay all bills presented as follows. Motion Carried.

regarding the sewer project since the last meeting.
There being no further business to come before the council a motion was made by
Christ Pallansch and seconded by Don Rau to adjourn. Time 9:20 P. M. Motion Carried.
