MINUTES OF SPECIAL MILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MARCH 18, 1961
The Village council of the Village of St. JOf'pnh met in special session
I on Saturday, Me, rch 18, 1961 at 9:00 a. m. Members nresent. were Zwack,
Schneider, Pallansch, Rau, Johnson, Knanp anò Teague.
Engineer Teague presented final plans and specificationf' of collector
system and treatment plant which will be com-pleted anð submitted to
State Health Department by the end of March, I 961.
Attorney John Knappn gave an estimated evaluat.ion of viII, ge priority
regarding the Federal PTant program. Engineer Teague reported on his
discussions with State officials regarding village nriority r"ting.
These estimates. and reports ind i c ateel a low -prior i ty rating for the
Village of st. Joseph, The council, evaluating community needs, the
estimated low priori ty and the unknown time factor regarding a federal
grant decided to continue the -program as -previously planned.
A motion was made by pallansch and seconded by Rau to have Village
attorney inform the College 01 St. Benec1ict 01 tb0 council's necision to
move toward comnletion or th0 sew~4age nrogram 8~ -planned. The College
of st. Benedict had inòicate0 a desirp to wait f'or 8 fpderp] grant.
Mr. A. J. Daniel, owner 01 Dani r] funerr] hO'T1e in S+ . Josenh, inquired
about sewer lines adjoining hif' nropprty an(l s t f! t rr' his plans of construc,*,
ion of a surfaced parking lot t.o the rep.r of the funeral home. Mr. Daniel
also stated his firm was con~iòering construction of another business
in St. Jo s eph anc1 hoped the council would proceeê' with thp 8Pwage program
thereby accelerating the growth 01 St. Josenh.

Mr. Max Meyer was invited to the meeting to disCU8S <, change in ro ad
easement granted him at the time of' purchsf'e of -plrnt site property.
Road easement changed to apnroximatply 200 ft westerly of east fence line.
This change waf' agreeable with Mr. Meyer.
Attorney to draw Un change ln deed of property.
A motion to ad journ wa~ made by Pallansch secondpd by Rau to adjourn
at 12:10 p. m.
