HI~roTES OF A SPECIAL VILLAGE COUNCIL }ŒETING HELD ON MAY 15, 1961
The village council of the Village of St. Joseph met in special session
on Nay 15, 1961 at R_p. m. Nembers present ,,!ere: ZvTack, Schneider, B.
Pallansch, Rau, Mein~, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp and Engineer R. W.
Teague.
Engineer R. W. Teague presented a review of bmds on the sanitary sewer
collector system and treatment plant and made the following recommendations:
þ~. Teague recommended acceptance of the low bid on the collector system
as- submitted by Barbarosa & Sons. Mr. Teague also recommended an
inclusion in thecontract of a 6 inch line from main to property lines.
This was estimated at 5000 additional 1. f. at a estimated cost of $18,000.
'A motion was made by Schnèider and seconded by Pallansch to include
c~nnection to property line mf permissable to increase bid amoèmt to
cover addition to contract - in the event the addition to contract is
not permissable, yts are to be included.
Mr. Teague recommended the 10\-'7 bid of Barbarosa & Sons on the treatment
plant with a deduction of $1500 on base bid for a carter sludge pump.
A.motion w-as made by Schneider and seconded by Pallansch to accept low
bØds of Barbarosa & Sons on collectør system and Treatment plant as
recomTIlended by Engineer R. W. Teague.
A discussion of bond issue with relation to sew-er program was held.
Bond sale date. suggested by bonding attorneys w.~ June 13~14, l~.
Amotion was made by Schneider and seconded by Pallansch to extend
sewer as~essments to 25 years with 5 years callable. Notion carried.
