JOSEPH HINUTES OF REGULAR VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON JUl\1E 5, 1969 I The Village council of the Village of St. Joseph met in regular session on Thursday, June 5, 1969 vlith the following members present: Zwack, Schneider Reber, Schroeder, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp. A ¡notion was made by Schneider seconded by Reber to approve minutes of regular and special May meetings. Sal Schneider was present to discuss application for on-sale liquor license now available. Requested consideration if license is issued. Discussion of trailer court - sewer and installation questions reviewed. .~ Clif Grabinski, Park Refuse Service, was present regarding garbage and refuse service. Question tabled for next meeting - for additional inforrnation. Mike Loso submitted fire report - statement of expenses. Question of refund on sewer connection discussed - council approved refund on extra service connection. Dan Nierengarten - reported problem of dump keys with to"mship members - board members requested keys to dump. Nierengarten instructed to inform to"mship residents to preserrt their request to council. John Kierzek requested vacation week to start June 30, approved on motion by Reber seconded by Schneider - dog licenses - tags to be ordered - notice to be published. Discussion of sludge hauling - need for driver of sludge 1- truck indicated. Motion made by Schneider seconded by Schroeder to approve request of John Kierzek for a $25.00 per month salary increase. Lorentz on-call for off-week starting June 9th. Question of water tank clean-out drain damage to wait for Watertower Co. to examine problem. Report of meeting with FHA representatives presented by Attorney John Knapp. FHA unable to finance Village filtration project due to local econonnc conàitions;, Report placedcon file. $ J J. i .-:. . ~L"'¡ I Attorney John Knapp to seek attorney general opinion regarding annexation vote question - 1 vote per property OllDer or 1 vote per lot. Mayor Zwack to check Neighborhool Youth Corp project possibility for summer. A motion was made by Schoreder seçondedcby Reber to approve reduction in assessed valuation of Linnemann sprre property from 16,500 to 14,499 as submitted by Dick Schroeder for Assessor Ollie Lesnick - Motion carried. Lions interest in improving park area referred to Dick Schroeder. I Roman Reber planning comnission report: Mike Nierengarten variance question to construct new home vlithin 5 ft of street lot line prèsented. Nierengarten informed of variance application procedures. '390 Al T~rborg, Creamery manager's request for installation of liquid fertilizer tank reported. 10 ft diameter 23! ft. high - special use permit question examined. No further action requested at this time. I Annexation area of 185 acres being considered - 200 ft from Rassier road. Plats to be made. Attorney to check water and sewer hook-up charges for area in question. Motion ]nade by Schneider seconded by Schroeder to pay bills as presented. :t-1otion carried. Street seal-coat problem examined - reportedly a good seal requiring longer to dry - all village streets to be re-sanded - Donovan project. Attorney John Knapp to contact villages considered for police protection agreement. Beno Benoit hired for 8 hours village police duty for July 4th.
