FOSEPH HINUTES OF REGULAR VILLAGE COUNCIL rillETING HELD ON AUGUST fl., 1969 The Village Council of the Village of St. Joseph met in reguJ~r session on I Thursday, August 7, 1969 with the following members present: Zwack, Reber, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp and Chief Lorentz (absent Herman Schneider and Dick Schroeder - on vacation) Cliff Grabinski, Park Refuse Service, presented statement for July services and signed and received copy of garb~gepickup agreement contract. Minutes of July 10 meeting read, and accepted with the following changes: addition to motion to contribute up to $25.00 to Rod & Gun Club for chemical treatment of Kramer Lake: Village use of Lake facility for summer reacreation cited as reason for contribution. Motion made by Reber seconded by Zwack to accept minutes with correctinn. Motion carried. Annexation report by Attorney John Knapp - 66 signatures on petitions - approx. 158-160 property O"ffiers in area in question - (short of required 50%) area to attempt to secure additional signatures by Sat. August 9, 1969. Attorney Knapp reported Attorney General opinion ~i to be as follows: one pro- perty Ovffier - one vote - corporation also one vote. Fire code copies not recieved from Fire Underwriters reported by Attorney John Knapp. Ì'layor Z"\'fad<:: to check Larson Tank contract proposal to fix tank clean-out and downspout. Jerry Rennie, Nick Froehle present regarding excavation for sanitary sewer problem I on Richard Cover property - work ordered by Mrs. Gebeck - adjoining property owner - two-party sewer line - Mr. Richard Cover also present. Parties advised the pro- blem concerned property owners - not village. Motion was made by Reber seconded by Johnson to approve variance request of ¥ilke Nierongarten as recormnended by Zoning Board of Appeals. Motion carried. Motion made by Reber seconded by Zwack to pay bills as presented. motion carried. . State truck requisition report presented by Lorentz. Notion was made by Reber seconded by Johnson to purchase sander from State for $35.00. ¥otion carried. Lorentz instructed to submit Village request for State truck and plow available next year.
