VILLAGE OF ST. JOSEPH
MINUTES OR REGULAR VILLAGE COUNCIL NEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 6, 1969
The Village Council met in regular session on Thursday, February 6, 1969 with
the following members present: Zwack, Schneider, Reber, Schroeder, Johnson, I
Chief Lorentz and Attorney John Knapp.
A motion was made by Schroeder seconded by Reber that minutes of regular
January meeting be approved as read.
Attorney Knapp to establish court hearing date for property condemnation case.
Street blading question discussed - Lorentz reported plow attachment for blad-
ing under construction.
Reber presented planning commission report. Attorney Knapp was instructed
to notify east end residents of meeting date regarding annexation. Reber to
check with Avon Lumber regarding lot line question of Dierkhising construction
single family dwelling - Lot 4 Block 1, Lodermeier Addn.
Junk car ordinance question tabled for need of additional information.
Lorentz presented question of police protection at teen dances. Attorney
John Knapp cited state statute requiring dance sponsor to provide adequate
µiice protection.
1967 Fire Marshall report on College Inn re-examined by council.
Motion made by Schneider seconded by Schroeder to pay bills as presented.
Motion carried. I
The following appointments were approved for 1969:
Acting Mayor - Herman Schneider
Health Board - Dr. Baumgartner, Reber, Schroeder
Council representative on Planning Commission - Reber
Fire Chief - }like Loso
Asst. Chief - Herman Schneider
Depository - First State Bank
Assessor - Ollie Lesnick
Weed Control Commissioner - Roman Zwack
Asst. Weed Control Commissioner - Bill Lorentz
Motion to adjourn made at 9:45 p.m.
