Joseph met in regular session I on Thursday, May 8, 1969 with the following members present: Schneider, Reber Schroeder, Johnson, Attorney John Knapp. M.nutes of the regular and special meetings held in April were approved as read. A motion was made by Reber seconded by Schroeder to approve attendance at fire school for three firemen. Motion carried. ~~ Lawrence Fischer presented trailer house permitfh~r pe:manent installation on 66x170 ft lot north of highway 52 - instructed to submit lot and building plans. Hr. and Mrs. Henry Notch and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Danzl were present to object to establishment of trailer court on Sal Schneider property in vicinity of their residence. (a) objectors concerned about reduction in their property value - (b) nuisance factor (c) ~bjected to planning commission action taken on matter after close of hearing. Bob Lunn, engineer, presented trailer court plat - described area contour - sanitary Sewer and water installations examined. Attorney Knapp to examine past sewer assessments on Sal Schneider property - laterals and connections on lots 12-13-lh-15- and 16 Blk 1 Loso"s 3rd addn. Motion made by Reber seconded by Schroeder to approve application for special use permit as presented by Marcellus Schneider and recommended by Zoning I Board of Appeals. Motion unanimously carried. Lester Baird requested information on cost factors relating to sidewalk and curb and gutter installation - village to pay $1.15 per running foot as cost share on installation. Survey stakes to be established in dump and treatment plant area. Engineers to prepare new plan for filtration unit and hall addition. Cliff Grabinski, Park Refuse Service, discussed refuse and garbage collection service with council. Cost: $1.50 per residence and business per monthf. Dan Nierengarten presented new summer schedule for dUÆp. Schedule accepted on motion by Schroeder seconded by Reber - motion carried. Liquor applications tabled for special meeting on May 12. Lorentz presented a junk car report - discussion of police protection at teen dances held - report of serving liquor with food after hours exannned. Lorentz ~uestion of po1¡.Jer to deputize to be sUb~nitted to Attorney Knapp. I Lorentz request for additional conpensation WV4th of July - hourly basis - over eight hours. = approved on metion by Schroeder seconded by Reber - motion carried. Clerk to request Jim Harlander, Bell Telephone engineer to meet "nth council F - 387 on May 12 for further discussion of proposed telephone ducts and cable install- tion on Minnesota Street and College Ave. I Reber presented planning comnnssion report l)Loretta and Del Horsch request for off-sale beer license was denied by commission by 3-2 vote. 2) a clean-up campaign was sl.lggested by commission. 3) requested keys for file cabinet Recreation program to begin June 9 - for a six week perioà.
